Blobby Barack

Posted by Duffy on 11/12/2011

Bobby Barack makes hand-drawn loops of small morphing doo-dads, combines them with his own custom software that simulates chaotic processes, and creates super-psychedelic flocks of form.

Martin Arnold – “Pièce touchée” & “Alone. Life Wastes Andy Hardy”

“The cinema of Hollywood is a cinema of exclusion, reduction and denial, a cinema of repression. There is always something behind that which is being represented, which was not represented. And it is exactly that that is most interesting to consider.”

Gratuitous Art Films

Posted by Brendan on 09/22/2011

////////http://gratuitousart.com\\\\\\\\

Gratuitous Art Productions/Films is a collaborative video art project between Jeff Burns and Cat Gilbert. We at Gratuitous seek out the connections and inflections between today’s audience and yesterday’s bully pulpit. Gratuitous techniques have been keystones in both propaganda and filmmaking in the 20th century and over time, connotations-symbolic, political or otherwise allow us to manipulate sound and images to gratuitously inflict our own narratives.
