Grant Morrison sings a song channeled from the spirit of John Lennon
Seriously.
Grant Morrison contacted the spirit of John Lennon in a chaos magic ritual, perhaps more than once, and apparently John sent along a bit of a song.

3eanuts

I hoped for more comic remixes, and now, here’s 3eanuts. When the final panel of a Peanuts strip is removed, what’s left is 3 panels of crippling unredeemed depression.

The Monkeys You Ordered – Literal New Yorker Cartoon Captions
New Yorker Cartoons have a special place in my heart, but I almost love even more their reputation as being unfunny, deliberately obtuse, and intended only for wound-up, overeducated yuppies. Even better still are these literalized re-captions on The Monkeys You Ordered
I’m reminded of Charles Lavoie’s similar project of recaptioning every cartoon with “Christ, what an asshole.”. It’s a shame that he seems to be no longer updating.
I’m loving this new genre of remixed comics. I wonder if it started with garfield minus garfield, or if there is any pre-internet precedent.

The Wormworld Saga by Daniel Lieske
The words “heart-achingly beautiful” leap to mind. The Wormwold Saga is a web-graphic-novel by Daniel Lieske. Chapter 1 barely begins to introduce the main character, but everything about this comic is overflowing with appeal. The lovingly crafted backgrounds evoke the kind of sumptuous settings you’d find in a Miyazaki movie. The characterization is effortless in its efficiency. When you can be so drawn in so completely despite the fact that the fantasy adventure hasn’t even started, you know you’re reading a comic that’s going places. I am in a fit over having to wait for the next chapter.
